About Rivers-Marie
Thomas Rivers Brown (2010 Food and Wine Magazine Winemaker of the Year) and his wife, Genevieve Marie, developed the Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon based winery, Rivers Marie on a whim. They were inspired once they were offered coveted Sonoma Coast, Summa Vineyard fruit by their friends, Scott and Joan Zellar. Rivers Marie has developed into one of the most cherished wines in all of California. There are only a few hundred bottles of each varietal produced each year and amassing them is nearly impossible since there are over 4,000 people on the waitlist. The wines are hand harvested and are never fined or filtered. This self-taught winemaker has made quite the name for himself having a hand in producing wines for over a dozen Napa wineries such as Schrader, Maybach, and Outpost.

G&M Machmer
Generations of the Machmer family have been involved in viticulture, but it was not until Georg Machmer that their estate wines were bottled. His son, Markus, now continues the family tradition and is devoted to producing wines of high quality. The small village of Bechtheim is situated in the countryside, not far to the South from Nierstein. The vines are cultivated on fertile loamy soils, and spicy Gewürztraminer flourishes well in the warm micro-climate.

Paul Anheuser
The vineyards, spread out along the Nahe valley, offer a wide variety of characteristic wines, reflecting the influence of the different soil structures, such as porphyry or red sandstone, and the varying microclimates, especially on the upper Nahe with its incredibly steep rocky formations. In fact, two of these single sites are solely owned (monopoles) by the Anheusers, namely Pfingstweide in Niederhausen and in den Felsen (in the rocks!) in Schlossboeckelheim.

Fritz Allendorf
Nearly 250 years ago, Phillipp Anton Allendorf founded our family estate. Our family roots can be traced back to the 13th century, but wine wasn’t until 1773 that he founded the estate. With
nearly a quarter-millennium under our belt, our family has accumulated over 140 acres, and, thanks to Fritz Allendorf’s leadership in the second half of the 20th century, most of these vines lie in prestigious sites like Hasensprung.
